If you grew up watching MTV in the 2000s, you definitely remember Punk’d. The prank show hosted by Ashton Kutcher featured a variety of elaborate practical jokes played on unwitting celebrities. Justin Timberlake got tricked into believing he was being arrested for tax evasion. Frankie Muniz (TBT, right?) was told his custom-made Porsche had been stolen. The list goes on.

For MTV fans, Punk’d was a cultural phenomenon.

Now, the popular show is making its return, hosted and executive produced by Chance the Rapper. A trailer that dropped on April 1st showcased everything from car explosions to a gorilla on the loose. The series is coming to Quibi, the upcoming streaming platform offering short-form 10 minute episodes called “quick-bites.”

The cast includes an array of celebrity co-stars, including Lil Nas X, Adam Devine, Migos, French Montana, Sabrina Carpenter, Addison Rae, Megan Thee Stallion, Ty Dolla $ign, Marsai Martin, Miles Brown, and Liza Koshy. Scott Disick will reportedly guest host.

Punk’d seems like a perfect fit for Quibi’s short-form content, and Chance the Rapper has a brand of fun energy well-suited to run the show. In the trailer, Chance can be seen cracking up while watching the pranks unfold. Quibi recently announced that three bonus episodes of Punk’d will be available to anyone who signs up before April 6, the launch date.

The platform has been rolling out advertising content over the past several weeks, and we can’t wait to see what these shows look like. Intriguing options include Chrissy’s Court, a Judge Judy-like reality program starring Chrissy Tiegen, and Spielberg After Dark, a horror series created by Steven Speilberg that can only be watched at night.

You can look at a comprehensive list of Quibi shows we’re excited about here.

Quibi is also offering a 90-day free trial to those who sign-up before April 30.
