Percy Jackson Series Coming to Disney+

Remember the Percy Jackson classic book series? How about the movie adaptations that came out in the early 2010s? Well, soon enough you’ll be able to add the series to your list of favorites.

On Thursday, May 14th, Disney+ announced they’re adapting the YA fantasy book series, Percy Jacksoan and The Olympians, into a series. Author Rick Riordan later further confirmed the series and his involvement.

Everyone and their grandma's took to Twitter to share their excitement.

Logan Lerman, who played the role of Percy Jackson in the previous films, went on to share his support for the series.

The book storyline centers Percy, the child of a human mother and the Greek god of the sea, Poseidon. Throughout the book, and series, Percy descovers his relationship for the Greek world and follows his adventures throughout the real and mythological worlds.

The show is still in its early stages and, while it will likely be a couple of years before we can see any episodes on a screen, there’s nothing wrong with getting excited a bit early.
